As a senior security officer four years ago, Mr Othman Abdul Hai was activated to rescue three people stuck in a broken-down lift in the commercial building where he worked.

It was one of the more intense moments in his career. Along with a fellow officer, they talked to the passengers to keep them calm while they waited for the lift technician.
