With the tax filing season ending in about a week, many of us can do more to make the task of paying our taxes, well, less taxing.

For reasons known only to them, around 40 per cent of taxpayers here still choose to settle their taxes in one lump sum instead of opting for interest-free monthly instalments that will allow them to pay up gradually over 12 months via interbank Giro.
