The eastern part of Singapore is expected to see the most significant redevelopment among all regions because more than 200,000 new homes may be built there, primarily through the expansion of Bayshore, the redevelopment of Paya Lebar Air Base and the construction of Long Island.
Popular estates such as those in Bedok, Siglap, Tanjong Katong, Marine Parade, Tampines and Pasir Ris are among the oldest and most established residential areas, yet fewer new housing projects have been built there for some time.
