SINGAPORE - Controlling risks and staying invested for the long haul has allowed bank executive Kelvin Goh to reap returns even in bleak situations.

Mr Goh, 41, recalls the global financial crisis: "Every day, I'd see the stock indices dropping 500 and even 1,000 points. No one had any idea of where things were going."
