SINGAPORE - Work on an offshore floating solar farm spanning the size of five football fields was under way in the Strait of Johor when the Covid-19 pandemic struck.
Mr Shawn Tan, head of engineering at solar energy solutions provider Sunseap, was faced with a huge challenge - how to finish the project given contractors were unable to bring foreign workers out of their dormitories or into the country and supplies from overseas were also delayed.
