SINGAPORE – Mr Steve Brice was 25 years old when he was asked to join Standard Chartered bank in Singapore in 1997.
Hailing from rural England near Stratford-upon-Avon, he had given no thought to living or working overseas before the invitation came. But he took the leap and landed in the Republic during the Asian financial crisis.
