Mr Randy Smith saved diligently for retirement throughout his 36-year career, especially during his final five years as a general manager at a materials handling company.

His wife LeeAnn Smith, 62, worked for 34 years as an elementary school teacher. She retired in 2020. Her sole source of retirement savings is a pension equal to half her salary.
