SINGAPORE - Some men believe the matrimonial law favours women - it is named the Women's Charter after all - but a recent ruling suggests the scales of justice are in balance when the merits of a case are weighed up.
The Court of Appeal verdict found that a husband's effort in caring for the family was worth more than his wife's - an outcome that points to the judiciary's blindness to gender, lawyers say.
