SINGAPORE - Businesses have been slowly getting over the hit they took from the pandemic but they now face new challenges, such as rampant inflation that is causing consumers to tighten their purse strings.

Governments are raising interest rates to ease inflationary pressure but that is in turn making mortgages and other loans costlier.
