COP26 outcome influenced by short-term pressures
World Bank official says worries about economic recovery swayed govt decisions

Short-term pressures on governments to speed up economic recoveries weighed on the outcome of COP26, the Glasgow summit on climate change, said the World Bank's vice-president for East Asia and the Pacific Manuela Ferro.
Ms Ferro, who attended the summit, said there were areas in which "ambition could have been higher in terms of de-carbonisation… but one could see that short-term issues were given big weight".
