SINGAPORE - When surging prices threw the Singapore energy market into a tizzy, forcing almost half a dozen independent electricity retailers to exit over the past year, Union Power was not spared.
The firm, one of two independent retailers not backed by a power generating company, found itself badly exposed to the vagaries of the energy marketplace.
