SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Monday (Aug 31), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,969.17 in early trade, up 0.45 per cent, or 13.23 points.
Around 136.6 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 89 to 51.
