SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,876.82 in early trade, down 1.75 per cent, or 51.36 points.
Around 209.4 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 41 to 193.
