SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Thursday (Aug 27), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,919.86 in early trade, up 1.63 per cent, or 46.86 points.
Around 102 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 152 to 19.
