SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Friday (Jan 22), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,568.57 in early trade, up 1.42 per cent, or 35.87 points.
Around 105.8 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 134 to 31.
