SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Wednesday (March 2), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,720.34 in early trade, up 1.41 per cent, or 37.95 points.
Around 218.6 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 180 to 22.
