SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Thursday (March 17), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,881.56 in early trade, up 1.31 per cent, or 37.35 points.
Around 265.2 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 154 to 33.
