SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,788.93 in early trade, down 1.21 per cent, or 34.04 points.
Around 96 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 127 to 31.
