SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,881.18 in early trade, up 1.19 per cent, or 34.14 points.
Around 74.6 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 109 to 25.
