SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Friday (July 29), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,889.6 in early trade, down 0.99 per cent, or -29.02 points.
Around 102.9 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 82 to 40.
