SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Thursday (Jan 7), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,784.56 in early trade, down 0.70 per cent, or 19.71 points.
Around 78.6 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 100 to 41.
