SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,716.65 in early trade, down 0.68 per cent, or 18.74 points.
Around 77.1 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 122 to 49.
