SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,827.59 in early trade, down 0.64 per cent, or 18.15 points.
Around 72.1 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 78 to 62.
