SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,173.31 in early trade, down 0.56 per cent, or 17.73 points.
Around 103.1 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 70 to 67.
