SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,900.72 in early trade, down 0.55 per cent, or 16.06 points.
Around 136.7 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 64 to 56.
