SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday (Aug 29), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,253.35 in early trade, down 0.44 per cent, or 14.27 points.
About 142.9 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 110 to 51.
