SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Thursday (Oct 19), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3340.74 in early trade, up 0.35 per cent, or 11.71 points.
About 45.2 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 94 to 40.
