SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened 0.34% higher on Monday (Oct 24), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,840.57 in early trade, up 0.34 per cent, or 9.51 points.

Around 48.4 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 80 to 20.
