SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Friday (March 17), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,170.60 in early trade, up 0.22 per cent, or 7.08 points.
Around 76.1 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 65 to 44.
