SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Tuesday (Jan 12), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,713.81 in early trade, up 0.18 per cent, or 4.96 points.
Around 71.1 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 65 to 55.
