Singapore shares open 0.17% lower on Monday

SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Monday (May 30), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,797.83 in early trade, down 0.17 per cent, or 4.68 points.

Around 41.5 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 59 to 43.
