SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Wednesday (Aug 24), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,847.01 in early trade, down 0.11 per cent, or 3.42 points.
Around 93.4 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 92 to 67 .
