SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Tuesday (July 4), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,226.35 in early trade, up 0.09 per cent, or 2.89 points.
Around 45.6 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 73 to 34.
