SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Monday (Aug 28), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,256.91 in early trade, down 0.08 per cent, or 2.66 points.
About 76 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 86 to 63.
