SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,799.64 in early trade, down 0.04 per cent, or 1.23 points.
Around 86.2 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 60 to 43.
