SINGAPORE - The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Financial Services Agency of Japan will work together on fintech links between the two countries, said a joint release on Feb 13.
Their cooperation framework allows them to refer fintech firms in their countries to each other.
Such firms can also initiate discussions with the regulatory bodies in the respective jurisdictions, and get advice on regulation such as required licences.
The MAS said this will help to reduce regulatory uncertainty and barriers to market.
