SINGAPORE - When Mr Fong Chi Chung arrived in Singapore some 20 years ago from his native Fujian province to start his coffee shop eatery in Kitchener Road serving his hometown food, little did he imagine his humble venture would one day become an international chain of over 70 restaurants in 11 cities, including a Michelin-starred outlet.
