SINGAPORE - There is something unusual happening at Raffles Medical Group, and the market is beginning to take notice.

Since February, Dr Loo Choon Yong, the owner and founder of Raffles Medical, has spent almost $35 million of his own money to buy back shares in his company. His purchase price averages about $1.03 per share, according to analysts who track the company.
