SINGAPORE - Mainboard-listed explosives maker Fabchem China said Mr Desmond Ong Tai Tiong has resigned as an independent director of the company with effect from Thursday (June 2).

Concurrently, Mr Ong has also ceased to be the company's lead independent director, chairman of the remuneration and nominating committees and member of the audit committee.

Fabchem said it is in the process of identifying a suitable candidate to replace Mr Ong.

Its board expressed its appreciation to him for his past efforts and contributions during his tenure as director.
