A data centre might have sounded like a futuristic concept some time ago, but it has now become a reality, with companies from banks to tech giants setting up the "brain" of their operations in Singapore.

Some of these data centres, which store huge amounts of highly sensitive information, are even blast-resistant and come with reinforced perimeter walls, such as the one by OCBC Bank that has been operational here since 2017.
