May Choon is assistant foreign editor at The Straits Times. Her journalism journey started The New Paper in 2000, video news in 2008, and finally ST in 2014. The NTU alumna was posted to South Korea for eight years, where she covered news ranging from geopolitics to inter-Korea ties and domestic affairs. She returned to Singapore in June 2023 and now covers world news with a multimedia focus while dabbling in writing. She finds joy in travel and telling stories.
