NEW DELHI – When US President Donald Trump fired off a social media post on Feb 3 to proclaim that the US was immediately ending the extraordinary 50 per cent tariff on most Indian goods exported to the US, Indian businesses heaved a sigh of relief.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded with his own post: “Big thanks to President Trump on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India for this wonderful announcement.”
