Indian feminist group opposes hanging of rapists

As four men convicted of gang raping a 23-year-old medical student in Delhi are set to be hanged on Jan 22, one of India's oldest feminist organisations has issued a statement against their execution.

The statement said: "We understand the inexorable pain of the parents and other loved ones of women and children who are raped and, in many cases, killed.
