India has evacuated 629 people, including scores of Afghan nationals, from Afghanistan and is on the last leg of the mission.
It is understood India worked in close collaboration with the United States, including on intelligence, to evacuate Indian citizens and Afghans, giving special priority to Afghan Sikhs and Hindus with close links to India.
