Foreign troop pullout stokes fear of Afghan instability affecting S. Asia

United States President Joe Biden's announcement of an American troop withdrawal from Afghanistan is expected to increase the influence of regional players, particularly Pakistan, in the strife-torn country.

But the decision has also stoked fears that instability in Afghanistan could spread elsewhere in South Asia.
