Covid-19 spreading undetected in rural areas

India's cities are on the mend, but the deadly coronavirus is coursing through the vast rural hinterland. By some estimates, around 65 per cent of the new cases are now surfacing in villages. Poor testing levels, inadequate health infrastructure and rising instances of suspected Covid-19 deaths are leaving locals fearful.
