NEW DELHI – On Oct 17, an advanced indigenously built Indian fighter jet roared off into the sky on its successful maiden flight.
It was meant to be a symbol of India’s decades-long effort to strengthen and modernise the Indian Air Force, and to signal the nation’s industrial and technical prowess.
