BENGALURU – A sharp spike in the price of agricultural products in India in the wake of the driest August in more than a century is driving food inflation globally.
But while some countries that are net importers of food are suffering the brunt of export curbs imposed by the Indian government on staple fare like rice and onions, others are making a beeline to fill the void left by the absence of one of the major players in global agritrade.
