Although Nur Adil Hakim Mohammad was flung into the air during the 3.45pm incident on Sunday (Oct 25), the Year Three pupil of SK Permatang Pauh miraculously escaped with minor injuries on his head, right cheek and legs.
His mother Rusmawati Abdul Rahman, 41, said Nur Adil went fishing without her knowledge that day.
"I was shocked when his friend came to tell me about the accident. Thank God, he did not sustain any internal injuries," she said on Wednesday.
She said Nur Adil was admitted to the Seberang Jaya Hospital but was discharged the following day.
"He is still in a daze. I hope the doctor will extend his medical leave until he is fully recovered," Ms Rusmawati said. Nur Adil is the fourth of her five children.
