SIBU, Sarawak – A two-year-old boy died after falling into a manhole in Sarawak on the evening of Aug 4.

According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department, the boy, Ehthin Ling, was believed to have fallen through a manhole near his family’s home in Sibu.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene at 6.33pm.

“Our team conducted a surface search and managed to locate the victim,” said the department.

The boy was brought up by firefighters and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The body was then handed over to Sibu Hospital. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
